Why I like Rexburg...

I know there are some of you who are thinking "Are there any reasons to like Rexburg?" And I assure you that there are. Of course I took some pictures for those who need the actual proof of why....

 1. The whole town has school spirit! I love living and coaching in a town where there is only one high school. Everybody supports that school! The parents are so involved in their athletes lives it's amazing! We had our first cheer performance on Friday (check it out on facebook) and I think about half of the girls had their parents there at the assembly to watch them! I love when parents are supportive of their kids! I had the best parents who went to all my games and I know it meant so much to me to have them there! The town just feels united because it's so small... and there's really nothing else to do on a Friday night except hit up the high school football game.

2. Aniston is here!!! Sorry I couldn't help but to post a picture with her obnoxiously huge flower!!!

 3. This dude sets his drum set up in the middle of nowhere... Notice that it's just fields around him, and just sits there and plays. Yes, I know I need to clean my windshield, but I just don't have time. I'm assuming he is just being nice to his roommates, but it sure was confusing to me the first time I saw it at 6am!!!!

4. Apparently the 3rd graders here think they have goatees. I took this picture at work. Cracks me up! I seriously laugh in the hall every time I pass it. Makes my day!

5. When you forget your stroller at home, no one looks at you weird because you steal the Sears cart to push your baby through the mall. Our bad.

Those are really just silly reasons I know, but I am definitely loving the simpler life here in Rexburg. It got to the point where I was tired of a lot of people in Utah. People in Utah are super fake. After we moved, I realized that minus my cheerleaders (who I still love and talk to all the time) I had maybe a handful of real friends. The rest of them were just selfish and rude. I don't think many of them know I feel this way, and some of them may be surprised, but I was hurt by a lot of people in Utah the past year, and in Rexburg I don't feel that. It drives me crazy when I get so mad at people from my past randomly during the day, especially because I realize that there is nothing I can do about it and they aren't in my life anymore, besides on facebook because I'm too lazy to delete anyone. I'm just glad to have my own family and the life that we are living now. It was time to rid myself of the people I thought I needed or who I thought were my friends, but really weren't. It's funny, I don't think people realize the hurtful things they do... or maybe I'm just bound to be hurt by all of my friends... Not sure.

For our Sunday walk, we just walked around our Apartments. Ani got some outside tummy time and basically just wanted to suck on her hands. She loves that!

She was not so much willing to look at the camera much today.... Kind of in a sassy mood, since she decided she no longer wants to take naps during the day.

She loves when Spencer holds her with one hand and she can sit up... She loves to do anything that makes her feel like a big girl...

Blowing bubbles...

Mission accomplished... She fell asleep!!!

All Things Ani

So I am becoming increasingly obsessed with my little Aniston Kate. It's so important to me that I spend as much time as a possibly can with her when I am home since I have been working so much. I am so afraid that I am going to miss something, but I know what a blessing my job is. There are so many different things that I just love about her! I love that she's starting to get a little chubby! Her cheeks are really filling out and her thighs are becoming massive! Look at those adorable cheeks and little fingers!

She is smiling all of the time, and we know what to do to make her smile. Her smile may be the best thing ever! It just assures me that I'm doing something right in this mess of a world.

This one may be my favorite picture of her ever! She just loves to be outside and she had just woken up so she was especially happy!

Such a doll!!!!! I'm so obsessed! Isn't that just the cutest picture in the world!!!! Also check out her killer eyelashes! Sooooooooooooooo jealous!

We have also learned that when she is screaming, whether it's in the car or at the house or where ever, if we play Call Me Maybe, she instantly stops crying and is just as content as can be. Thank you Carly Rae Jepsen.

She also loves her little pink chair... It vibrates and she LOVES that! Most of the time we can just put her in there and she's fine for hours! It's a life savor when we have things that we have to get done!

Are we bad parents cause we don't buckle her in??? I don't think so. She has only scooted off the chair almost twice.... Both times we caught her before anything awful happened.

So yesterday we decided to take Aniston to her first movie... Okay so basically we really wanted to go see a movie and we are not about to leave our child with anyone besides family yet. So I told Spencer I only wanted to take her if we could keep her awake for a long time so that she would hopefully sleep through the movie.... Challenge accepted! We kept her awake for 6 hours! Poor baby, was so tired by the time we were ready to leave... Probably why she decided to give Mom the finger in these next pictures.... Naughty Nunu.

Check out her adorable booties! Her feet are finally big enough that shoes kind of fit! I am sooooooo excited about this! Hooray for cute baby shoes that are completely a waste of money since they only fit for like a week before they grow out of them!

I can already tell that Ani is going to be a popcorn hog when she gets older (that's the Kinville in her)... good thing she was asleep!

It's moments like this when I realize how awesome Rexburg is... For $12 we got two tickets, two large drinks, and a large popcorn... all refillable! AWESOME BLOSSOM!

The choice for Ani's first movie was The Amazing Spiderman, which actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.... She stayed asleep through almost the entire thing, and only woke up the last 20 minutes. And because I hate the people who bring their screaming baby's to the movies I was prepared with a bottle and no one even knew she was among us! Okay that's not true... My child eats loudly and like she's never eaten before, so she definitely made her presence known!

In the ads before the movie started this ad popped up.....

I know it's small and hard to read, but it's encouraging people to not bring food into the movie theater.... Really? Definitely got a laugh out of me... not so much guilt. I will admit though I did not sneak in any food this time... except for the chocolate bar that was already in my diaper bag.

Ani was super happy when the lights came back on!!! I love that she's always in such a happy mood when she wakes up!

We took this video a few days ago and I think it's hilarious! She now knows when her food is coming from when we place the burp cloth on top of her... She starts kicking her legs and smiling and cannot wait for the food... When you take the cloth away from her though, her world ends!!!

We are having so much fun with Ani! We sure do love being parents! Thanks Aniston Kate for blessing our lives with your sweet happy spirit!

One Year of Wedded Bliss

Okay, so maybe the title of this post exaggerates a little bit... The first year of marriage is not always wedded bliss. Especially when that first year includes getting pregnant, having the baby, multiple hospital visits, moving, starting new careers, continuing college, lots of cheerleading, and then of course everything else. It's been a busy year for us... Not on purpose. If someone had told us at our wedding reception that by our 1st anniversary we would have a 2 month old, I would have probably said something really rude and smart in reply. But it's our life... It's how it happened. Ani always seems to want to be early when it comes to everything and I guess coming to our family was no exception. Our plan was to wait 2-3 years before having a child when we got married... We have a 2 month old on our first anniversary. Our plan was to both work and live in Salt Lake for a couple years... We moved 8 months after being married. Our plan was to go on a honeymoon (finally) for our 1 year anniversary. Travelling to Utah with an infant was almost too much to handle so that won't be happening anytime soon. But despite all the craziness that has happened during these 366 (leap year) days since we got married, I love my life! I am so thankful for an amazing husband who treats me like I should be treated, buys me Taco Bell (this is very important), is an amazing father, and he is just awesome! I could fill up my entire blog about why I love Spencer and why I am so thankful to be married to him, but I won't. Besides, I don't want to make everyone else fall in love with him too. He's mine for eternity!
Here's us on our wedding day 9-10-11 (don't be jealous that our wedding date is super awesome!!!)
Here is us almost exactly one year later at the same temple 9-2-2012

So there's this super weird tradition that people have where they save the top layer of their cake and eat it on their first anniversary... So we decided to hop on that band wagon. We seriously almost forgot about our cake on our actual wedding day... I was sure we would forget about the top tier a year later. Well Spencer has been talking about eating that cake for an ENTIRE year!!! That's weird right? I mean who talks about eating year old cake for 12 months????

 Here's feeding uno
 Here's last night
Spencer was a little disappointed... It wasn't as good as he remembered.
We decided to chuck the rest of it....
Finally we have freezer space!!!!

For dinner we hit up Costa Vida... It's the closet thing we have to Cafe Rio and it is pretty dang good. Now I"m sure you're wondering why we didn't do Taco Bell... Since we do Taco Bell for every other holiday, including the ones that I make up just so we can go there, Spencer said I had to choose somewhere else to go. But I was not disappointed. Their sweet pork salad blows my mind every time! Mostly I think it's their awesome cilantro ranch dressing, but either way I was satisfied!
Yes we are coffee table eaters (we do actually have a really ice dining room table) and yes that is queso in the background!

I have this thing for straws, so my awesome husband made sure to grab extras!!!! What a man!

I came home to these lovely flowers and our combined anniversary present....

We sold the love sack (it went so fast in Rexburg.... make out chair) and had our eye on this beauty. IT's a rocking recliner and it was cheap at Kmart... Who even knew Kmart had furniture.... But we had been saving for a little while (Plasma) and well, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Ani hogged it all night long! She L-O-V-E-S it!

And if you're thinking, well that kid looks like she's gonna tip right over... She most definitely did right after I took this picture. Don't worry. After laughing hysterically for a few seconds, we picked her up.

Now for the best part! Pictures of Aniston! Don't forget to check our her new bling! Yes, I pierced my 2 month old baby's ears and I love it! So super cute! She is such a fancy baby now!

This is the smile I got when I told her why it was such a special day! She sure does love her Mom (she better after that pregnancy) and her Dad! So glad she was there to share the day with us!

HAPPY 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY SPENCER! I LOVE YOU!!!

Blessing Pictures

I am so grateful that Kim and her family were able to come from Oregon to the blessing! One of the huge bonuses of this was that she got to take some AMAZING pictures of Aniston on the day she was blessed! Thank you Kim, they turned out awesome! Enjoy!

Such a happy baby! Of course she had to pull the pirate eyes out for this one!
 Our families hands!

 Mommy and Aniston
 F-A-M-I-L-Y
This might just be my favorite! She is such a little doll!
Bored of taking pictures and just thinking...
Her pretty blessing dress. Her bow may or may not have been bought from the baptism section at Deseret Book which would explain it's enormousness!
 Pretty little lips!
 Squishy face!

I love love love this one! She loves her Daddy so much! Such big smiles!

I am so happy to have such beautiful pictures to remember such an important day!
