Time Out

I have been thinking a lot lately... The past couple of weeks have been really rough for me and my beautiful little family. I thought I had escaped the terrible wrath of postpartum depression, but I was wrong. Very very wrong.

Although I love social media (probably a little too much) I have decided to take a time out and focus only on myself and my family for awhile. I have found myself thriving on the opinions of others and becoming so ridiculously upset if no one comments on pictures or blog posts, so much so that I have begun to base my self worth according to these things.

That's not the kind of person I want to be. I want to set, and I need to set, a better example for my daughter. It is also not fair to Spencer to feel as though he has to compete with everyone out there constantly. Relying on comments and likes is not the way I want to be. I'm definitely hoping that I can spend the next couple of weeks realizing my own potential and not feeling as though I need to rely on others to uplift me and make me feel special. I know I have a ton of things coming up that I want to blog about like the holidays, the state championship game next week, and who knows what kind of cute things Ani will do, but this will be better for me. It will be better for my family.

So I'm not sure how long I won't be blogging or facebooking... but until then... Happy Holidays!

4 Months Old!!!

I cannot believe that Aniston is already 4 months old! Where did the time go? Seriously, it feels like yesterday that she was just a little pink line on a pregnancy test. Fun Fact: We learned on November 10th, 2012 (on our 2 month anniversary) that I was pregnant, after I bawled my eyes out over a Jamba Juice spill.  At her doctor's appointment this morning we learned that she is 15lbs 7oz (chunky monkey) 24.75 inches long and pretty much the most awesome baby ever! When it comes to shots, this child is a champ! She is just starting to laugh (pretty much the funniest thing ever), she's starting to roll over (her chubbiness may be contributing to her slowness to accomplish this), and the doctor told us we could attempt rice cereal, but she couldn't figure out how to use the spoon... handicap. But that's okay. We'll keep trying! I have so much love for this baby! Everyday is a new and wonderful experience! Plus she has THE most adorable chubby cheeks and dimples!

Also we voted!!!! Of course I had to get a sticker for Aniston... or maybe I just took Spencer's and put it on her. Here's to an awesome night of watching the news and hoping America made the best decision!!!

State Playoffs!!!

Yes.... that's right. There are 3 (count them) 3 exclamation marks after those words. It's a very exciting time! Since my sophomore year of high school, we're talking 10 years ago, I have not been a part of a winning, good, solid high school football team. Apparently no one in Rexburg have been either for a long time, so people are super stoked about this.

So Friday afternoon we headed down to ISU's Hoyt Arena in Pocatello, ID. Lucky for us it's only a 90 minute drive. I'm pretty sure they chose an indoor venue because of last weeks game...
Only the super cool people get to be on the field during the game.... Or you know maybe it's just the people that have to walked up 1000 stairs (yes I'm sore today) to do the halftime music.
Kind of cool to watch the games from the announcers booth!

We had a blast! It helped that we won!!!

The girls performed at halftime and rocked it. They performed the same routine, an exhibition stunting routine, at today's Rexburg's Dancing with the Stars.

 They are basically awesome!

I had so much fun with these girls. Hopefully I will be able to make it to the other state games!!!

Go Bobcats!
