In the Ghetto

So when we drive to Idaho, I almost always stop at this random gas station in the middle of nowhere... strangely I have a lot of memories from this gas station. Anyway it's kind of a dump! Kim and I got a good laugh though last time we were there. First of all to even have this sign posted it just silly when a bathroom is in this kind of condition! You've got holes in the ceiling, huge scary rapist looking holes, the sink doesn't work and is missing a knob. Garbage is overflowing and the tiles are missing from the walls! Don't ask me why we stop there. They do have a subway so it smells AMAZING!

You Know...

You know things are awesome when.....

One of your cheerleaders makes you a Tye dyed t-shirt and you have always wanted one!

Your best friend buys you a super cool present and you can plug your iPod into your car without using the radio stations! Now all I want to do is sit in my car and listen to music! It's awesome but I'm bugged with the person so no picture...

Boy Meets World Season 5 came out! (This is a happy face... not a scary face!)

You punched a wall at church, hard, but didn't break your hand. (I know inappropriate)

You wish everyday was Sunday, because you actually enjoyed going to church for the first time in a really long time!

You get to move!!!! Moving is just the best! (sarcasm)

You successfully rented 4 redbox movies and watched them all in under 24 hours... That's right you heard me.

You can't sleep because there's something that you really need to tell someone that you know is going to change your life.

Here's to another WONDERFUL day in OZ!

Blast From The Past!

So while I was cleaning today I found these old prom pictures from 2004! I went up to Spokane, Washington to a prom with the high school boyfriend Ian... And one of my oldest and most amazing friends, Natalie did my awesome hair! Super fun! And yes, his finger is bandaged because he had cut it trying to jump a fence... why I remember that I don't know. Ah to be young and thin and in high school again and to think the boy is everything. I mean seriously in love (probably not but I thought I was)... and my dress is pink not white. Please tell me that I at least look a little different! And different does not mean fatter!

It Was a GREAT Weekend!

I had a GREAT weekend! Friday evening I hung out with some friends and we watched some NBA games... super exciting I know. But then around midnight they took us to their work and, you know, I got to sit in an Apache helicopter, don't worry about it. I thought, and still think I'm kind of cool. PS, can we please talk about how I cannot seem to make a normal face for pictures? Even in the pictures when I am younger my tongue is hanging out or something is going on. Those helicopters have some pretty insane guns on them.
Anyway after hanging out at the National Guard place (I don't know what it's called exactly) we went bowling, which is always awesome because I am pretty darn good... that is why I went to college. To take my bowling class. I think people are actually surprised at my awesomeness of bowling. Just one of my many skills. Then around 2am we went to get food at the Village Inn cause it's the only place open. Fries with ranch at 2 in the morning are pretty dang tasty! Then I had to head over to the cheer sleepover, but first I had to go pick up some toothbrushes for some of the girls. When I was leaving Walmart, holding several toothbrushes and a pack of gum, no bag, homeboy at the door asked me if I needed help to my car. Yes, I would really appreciate some creepy dude who I don't know helping me to my car at 3am in the Walmart parking lot. H no! Anyway I finally got to the party and since it was high school girls and 3am I got no sleep. 0 hours of sleep for Jenn! We need make another Walmart/McDonalds (nasty) run at 5am because we were starving and bored, I got a super cool Jedi braid because that's what all the cool kids are doing,
we decorated shirts because that's what cheerleaders do, and just hung out and talked until around 7:30am. One of my cheerleaders Mom has Leukemia and they were having a bunch of fundraisers for her so my entire JV team decided to run the 5K for her Mom. It was amazing! Those girls are so amazing! We were all pretty exhausted but what do you do. It was really important for us to support Rylee's Mom and Rylee. It was a great experience. After the run I went home thinking I could sleep, and it didn't happen. I could probably go days without anyone texting me but of course everyone needed to text me right then. So I met the fam for lunch for Mom's birthday and then I did something AWESOME! I learned and successfully changed my own oil. That's right you heard me. I feel pretty good about myself at this point. I did make a little mess, but still, completed. I am only getting better with age.... these boys need to get on the ball before I'm too good for any of them. After I was done with that I went home and showered and pass out! I still don't think that I am completely recovered, but I'm so blessed that I was able to have a good weekend.

She's My Mom...

Not only is today Mother's Day, but it's also my Mom's birthday. And, bonus, I got to spend some time with her, so the picture above was actually taken today! In case you didn't know, my family is moving to Utah (AWESOME), so they were down this weekend to find a house. Mom's one birthday wish was to be in Utah, so Dad granted it since he was already down here house hunting. So for lunch today we went to Kim's house and ate and hung out. I love my Mom. I'm excited that she will so close for me now! I love how she always makes us laugh. She doesn't know that she's doing it, but it happens all the time. You never know what to expect and I think that's great! I love how unjudging (not a word I know) she is. She loves everyone no matter what. She tries really hard to see the good in others and to make sure that they know that they can depend on her. She is a great example for me when it comes to anything. She's extremely faithful, hard working, and a wee bit mischievous. She is seriously the sweetest and kindest person I have ever known. I am so lucky to have her as my Mom. She truly only wants the best for all her children and she will pretty much do whatever it takes to make sure that happens. Happy Birthday and Happy Mother's Day to the very best Mom in the world! I love you so much! I would never be where I am today if it wasn't for you!

I LOVE YOU!!!

I Will Do This Someday...

This wall was created from used pallets and I am so in love with how it looks! I may start collecting pallets from behind the Kmart and saving them. Seriously so easy and I think it looks super rustic and awesome! Check this out http://poppytalk.blogspot.com/2011/02/diy-scrap-pallet-plank-wall.html.
